November 13th, 2008Hey Perry, congratulations on passing your Driving Test yesterday at Whalley Range.
Is 24yrs between taking your 1st test and your 2nd test a long time ? ? I know some of the fasions are back in style. That reminds me I must find my leg warmers
Well done again, and hope to see you soon for Pass Plus, and you now get free Cake.
Yummy Cake
November 11th, 2008Exciting news here at ABMW. We have managed to negotiate a great incentive for Pupils who take a Pass Plus course with us. All thanks to the nice people at The Chocolate & Coffee Shop, who are based over in the Peak District town of Glossop.
The deal is a free Coffee and a free slice of one of their scrumptious homemade cakes, and let me assure you that after extensive testing by myself that they have some seriously good cake.
You can see a selection of some of their cakes at www.thechocolateandcoffeeshop.co.uk
Welcome to the club
November 11th, 2008New test centre pass rates.
October 28th, 2008Last year I posted all the pass rates for our local Driving Test centres here in Manchester, you can find the old story here http://www.abmw.co.uk/2007/07/29/driving-test-centre-pass-rates/
Well the DSA has now released it’s new pass rate figures for all the their test centres in the whole country. You can find all the relevent statistics here http://www.dsa.gov.uk/AtoZDTCInfo.asp?letter=A&CAT=-1&s=
You’ll see that pretty much all our Manchester centres have stayed virtually the same, with only a small variation up or down from the previous year.
I’ll do some digging around and try and find out the highest and lowest in the country again.
Another 1st time pass.

October 15th, 2008Lucky Grandma ?
September 25th, 2008Thought I’d seen it all in my 13yrs of being a Driving Instructor, but today i saw something new.
Annam was taking her test today at Whalley Range, and asked me about who could accompany her on the test itself. I replied with that it’s usually your Instructor if you wish me to come along, or occasionally an interpreter if your English isn’t so good. What about my Grandma ? for good luck, Annam asks. No problem says I.
So here is Annam and Grandma after passing. Maybe the start of a new trend ? ![]()
